HOME GAMES STREAMED ONLINE. This year the Brandon Bobcats will have all of their home games streamed online. This enables family and friends nationally and internationally to log on and watch the games from their homes. This certainly is exciting for the program and a step in the right direction.

Controversy in Austria

Posted by devo on February 15, 2009

If I’m reading the translation correctly, then the Austrian team of Aussie Fred MarshSalzburg PSvBG –  have hit the protest button. They apparently have video footage of incorrect decisions, and report that the central ref may have said things that he shouldn’t! It doesn’t look like they have much chance of over turning the decision. Salzburg are currently sitting 6th of 9 teams. Fred is having a good season playing center, with an average of 8 points a match, 121 points for the season. He is ranked 3rd in the club.

More Aussies on the net!

Posted by devo on February 10, 2008

Freddie Marsh in Sweden has let me know that his  team Tierp  – WorldLingo translation will be playing current top team Falkenberg on Sunday in a match that will be broadcast over the internet! It will come on at 3 – 4am Monday morning for us; so I don’t know that anyone but Freddie’s parents will want to get up to watch!

There is a link on the www.volleyboll.se website (translated) which sends you here. The info about the Tierp game comes up in the middle column, be patient. You have to send an sms to get the code to watch and it costs 50 Kr – about $10.

The Swedish web tv site is interesting. It has page ads, including gambling, and pay for view. It covers several sports. There’s a business here for someone in Australia. With so many minor sports not getting coverage in the news or on the tv, there are a lot of starved fans out there.
