Rules reviewed

Posted by devo on January 21, 2010

For the first time in the history of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), three commissions – Coaching, Refereeing and Rules – held a joint meeting at the FIVB headquarters on Tuesday.

Items discussed included team composition (12 or 14 players), review of the trial of Libero rule modifications, review of the latest rule changes (net touch, centre line penetration) and the trial of the Golden Formula during the FIVB Men’s World Club World Championships in Qatar.

The joint commission meeting findings will be proposed to the Executive Committee in April. more@fivb

  1. Golden Formula shouldn’t even be on the table!

  2. I really do not enjoy the new net touch rules.
It feels like new players attack into the net more often, whether thats the reality i do not know.
