Refs wanted for Good Neighbour

Posted by devo on September 28, 2009

good neighbourThe 2009 Good Neighbour Volleyball Tournament is being held at the AIS in Canberra on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 2009. This tournament is the most enduring open invitational club volleyball tournament in Australia and attracts well over 100 teams from right across Australia and internationally.

We are in the process of trying to recruit referees to cover all the Men’s and Women’s Honours matches that will be played across the weekend. This is a fantastic opportunity to officiate in AVL standard matches and there is also the potential for upgrade assessments to be conducted at the tournament depending on level and availability.

Referees are required to make their own way to/from Canberra and once here there are 2 options for remuneration:

  • Option A – $35 per match payment
  • Option B – 2 Nights Accommodation (Friday 27th & Saturday 28th) plus 3 meals a day provided at the AIS Residences

If you are up for the challenge and interested in coming to Canberra and officiating in the 44th Annual Good Neighbour Tournament please email with your contact details and accreditation level etc.

Please feel free to pass this information onto any other qualified referees and if you require any further information please email. We hope to have some of you come to Canberra for a very enjoyable weekend of volleyball!
