asian womens 09The Aussie women are back on court today at the Asian Women’s Championships, competing against HongKong as they seek to finish in 9th position. You can get Live Score Updates on the Aussie Women’s blog starting at 1pm AEST.

You can also check out daily posts by the girls on the ups and downs of Asian life – including words of wisdom that rival those from Kung Fu’s Master Po and Grasshopper.

UPDATE: The Aussies defeated Hong Kong 3-2 (25-23, 25-14, 18-25, 21-25, 15-12). A brave effort by the girls in a match that lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes in oppressive conditions with many of the girls suffering from illness. Australia finished top of group G and plays the loser of the  Uzbekistan vs India match in one semi final to determine positions 9 to 12. more@Aussie Women’s blog

close first set, but the girls have taken it out 25-23

  2. regarding the photo that also appears on the AVF website, i don’t want to start another apparel related conversation, but I find it pretty amazing Iranian athletes can do everything while covered head to toe. Maybe it’s like wearing skins or those swimsuits. I can’t even play volleyball in trackpants!
