Happy birthday Louise

The Aussies will be playing for a medal this weekend at the US$380,000 Mazury Open as the Australian qualifiers made a name for themselves by denying a Brazilian sweep of the “final four” berths with one of their three Beach Volleyball victories here Friday.

Competing in only their third SWATCH FIVB World Tour together, the 26th-seeded Palmer and Bawden upset third-seeded Shelda Bede and Ana Paula Connelly 18-21, 21-19 and 15-12 in 53 minutes in the next-to-last elimination round at the Mazury Open to leave only three Brazilian teams in the competition.  Shelda and Ana Paula were the Mazury Open defending champions. It added an extra celebration to Louise’s birthday. more@fivb

Well done to the girls. I have been keeping up with each event on the tour and they are going from strength to strength. Hopefully they will be on centre court tonight and be on ‘live scoring’. They beat some very impressive teams to get to this position. Go the Aussie ladies!!!!!

Well done to the girls. Some great wins over world class Brazilian teams! If any body wants to watch the finals live you can sign up to Bwin to watch the live stream from centre court. This is a gambling site, I am not supporting gambling on beach volleyball but its a great way to watch the action.

    • I’m all for gambling on Volleyball and if B-Win would accept my Aussie credit card, which it won’t, I’d be putting 10 bucks on the Aussies. ;-)

Have any of you guys watched any of the games? Their scores look crazy. 21 – 15 / 21 -15 against the Schwaigers, the 21 – 12 in the second set of the semis… They must be absolutely on fire.
