SSA Draw

Posted by devo on August 6, 2009

National Under 16 Volleyball Championships ~ Campbelltown, 15 to 21 August 2009

The draw for the School Sport Australia volleyball championships is now available. Also check out the SSA U16 tag at the top of this page.

Can you help? Have you played for Australia? School Sport Australia’s national secretary Stuart Scott is wanting to update their web site and records to show all those athletes that played in the Schools’ Championships and then went on to play for the Australian men’s or women’s teams. The list on the SSA site is in need of an update

If you played in the School Sport Australia tournament, and represented Australia at senior level, and your name is not on the list, please contact Stuart and let him know, so that you can receive your recognition. You can reach Stuart by sending him a message via the contact devo tag at the top of the page.

Oh, and by the way – GO VICS!

1st time since the under 16 comp started and I will not be there.
Devo, you are biased. Surely you mean GO SA with the “Family Footner coaching panel” leading the troops.

The meetings will be far less “interesting”.
When have I ever not been biased? See the Disclaimer page: No warranties or other guarantees will be offered as to the quality of the opinions or anything else offered here. I mean Go VICS! ;-)

We certainly both agree that this is just one GREAT tournament.
Congrats to all the players who have been selected.
One state team against one state team.
Hundreds of new friends to make.
Parents flying in with their kids to watch the week.
Kids doing the refereeing and always doing a great job.
Good quality coaches not making asses of them selves.

This tournament is a summary of all that is good in sport and in particular volleyball.

go SA, Vics, SA, WA, ACT, Qld and NSW
Tasmania and NT, you just do not know what you are missing.

Certainly do agree that this is one great tournament. Doing a bit of relief teaching, otherwise I would have driven up for a look.
