Streaming Aussie volleyball

Posted by devo on July 27, 2009

Firstly, congratulations to the guys at the weekend who streamed the Women’s Australian Volleyball League finals. One small step for man …

We now know it can be done. There are now no more excuses. Major events in Australia should be streamed on the web. Distances are too great for fans to get to events. Events must come to the fans. Parents can watch their kids playing.

Okay, Hollywood it aint. But that can come later. Robbo is already setting up commentators for his next stream. He is talking about a “channel” on ustream so that we can see what’s coming up on Aus volleyball. And I’m sure that  further improvements will come. My bet is that Chau will give us the first Aussie OS stream.

I’m sure that Robbo and Chau would be happy to share their expertise with anyone running events. The next question is: How long will it take Volleyball Australia to add a stream to the team camera when the Aussie teams play?
