Posted by devo on May 13, 2009

The FIVB has officially implemented a new educational program for anti-doping and medical affairs under the slogan, “We play it clean.”

The program fulfills WADA requirements aimed at educating athletes, coaches, officials and National Federations in avoiding banned substances. The program is available at ~ RealWinner is an online educational programme for athletes and support personnel, covering the new World Anti Doping Code. You will learn the basics of the code through nine short, snappy and fun modules. You don’t have to do the whole program in one go. When you have completed all modules, this will be registered and you will receive a certificate.

“The FIVB has always maintained a strong anti-doping position,” said FIVB President Jizhong Wei. “Thankfully, our sport has been blessed with very few infractions over the years.” The FIVB has also integrated an ADAMS database to follow up on relevant information about athletes, and in line with WADA policy, the FIVB now has a fully operational out-of-competition testing program in which athletes can be tested without any prior notice. more@fivb
