Facilities at Heathfield

Posted by devo on March 5, 2009

The work at the volleyball complex at Heathfield High School has been progressing well, and is just about completed from what I’ve heard. This has been a real community effort, and apparently the whole complex looks fantastic. You can check out the progress at: http://www.hhs.sa.edu.au/siv/photogalleries/beachblitz/Progress/progress2/index.html

Or you could head to the SA Open or the Gold Ball Junior Tournament and check it out for yourself.  The school now has the following facilities, making it possibly the “best venue in the country”. Certainly SA has the two best school volleyball facilities in the country.

Thanks Devo – The beach courts belong to the volleyball program and all income from hire and competitions will be used for incomming and outgoing international trips. Volleyballers making money for volleyballers. This year we hope to host Vic teams Billanook and Girton. at some stage. We also hope to attract Vic league teams to the SA Open (no body should have to pay $120 a match ever – come and play great volleyball at a fraction of the cost. We don’t have river water but we do have great league teams – Norwood, Lion, Austral South, Henley and of course Mt Lofty.)

The under 15 Gold Ball tournament is already double the size from last year. THIS WILL BE THE BEST JUNIOR TOURNAMENT IN AUSTRALIA IN 5 YEARS. We already have nominations from Mildura and ASC big improvers – Willunga.
