Melbourne Falcons take on Asia

Posted by devo on December 6, 2007

The Melbourne Falcons are heading to the 2007 World University/Club Championships in Yeongju, South Korea. With teams from South Korea, China, Thailand and Australia, this tournament looks like one to go off with a “bang”.

The Melbourne Falcons will arrive next Saturday night, and are wasting no time; getting straight into it on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with pre-tournament games against the Korean University All-star team who are also competing in the event.

This event will be great exposure for clubs involved with Volleyball Australia, as the event will be televised through-out Asia. Hopefully this will give the opportunity for more clubs in Australia to travel overseas in the future and follow in the footsteps of the Melbourne Falcons.

Keep posted for the results on the tournament and how the Melbourne Falcons take on Asia.
